So why does William blagg’s 1812 Land grant show Joseph Blagg BROTHER and other heirs? There doesn’t seem to be a “Joseph” who is his brother anywhere else. So, is Joseph someone’s middle name, a new brother or what? “legend” says he and brother’s John and James had agreed to share any land grants etc among whichever survived the war. Does this relate in any way to his son Israel Joseph Blagg or to the unplaced Israel Blagg?
