Escape to the Silent Cities: Bethlehem Cemetery – First Public Cemetery In Washington County Arkansas

Blog entry about Bethlehem Cemetery in Washington County Arkansas. There’s several family members from different branches of my family buried there. Kind of interesting they were in the same place generations before their descendants married. Check out the photo and info on Martha Muse Oliver and her husband Benjamin Franklin Johnson. She was the granddaughter of two Revolutionary War veterans. Thomas West and Mary Renshaw’s tombstones are also featured.

This contains some interesting information on the Granddaughter and family of Elizabeth Jane Blagg who married Richard Fields of the Cherokee. There seems to be connections between the Fields, Blaggs, Muskrats, and Eatons so just thought this might give some background on what they went thru.

Stop internet censorhip

sorry for the diversion but this is important. Small sites like this and many of those we use to research genealogy could end up blacked from search providors like Google under these laws. Don’t let corporations decide what you can do and see on the internet. It’s our voices they wish to silence.

go here to wikipedia today and enter your zip and then contact your senators and rep.

ok, using a new plug in to display people’s info called rootsPersona. So far it’s cool…check out the tab above for Family and click on Ollie Whitney or John Blagg. Neat huh? I’ll keep the old style Families TNG for the time being but I think I’ll end up switching to this for the display at least.
