Israel Blagg Obituary
?Isriel Blagg, an old and honorable citizen died at his residence on Flint Creek last Saturday morning. Age seventy years.
Fayetteville Democrat 2/2/1882
Lillian Blagg b. 1910
Here’s a few scanned images from the funeral book of Lillian Blagg. One of my roomates is taking pictures of the book itself and items in it. I’ll post those later. As the only other Catholic in the family I know of, I’ve always felt a special bond with Aunt Lillian even tho she died some years before I was born.
I have more of the scanned pages if anyone is interested. Sorry the pages are kind of sideways, I still haven’t figured out the ins and outs of my scanner.

Lucille Eleanor Blagg 1912 – 2008
My grandmother passed away today. Much of the information on the Blagg family came from her memories. She’ll be greatly missed. She gave me many things throughout my life, including a love for language and poetry. I think she’d have liked this one.
Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
by Mary Elizabeth Frye
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)
