This blog is focused on my genealogy research for the various branckes of my family. They all ended up in Northeast Kansas around the turn of the 20th century, hence the blog name. I’m focused on my great grandparents and their counterparts by marriage and their ancestors. You can also sign up for access to my online database which requires a login to view. Surname pairs include Whitney/Moser, Blagg/Brillhart, Johnson/West, Armstead/Hilfinger, Tyson/Clayburger, Williamson/Arnold, Taylor/Kirkendall, Lassiter/Smith, Baker/Tucker, Wright/Brannon, and a couple names I don’t have paired up: Long, Brunner, Saunders(?), and Miller. All these families lived in Doniphan, Jefferson, Johnson, Osage, and Shawnee counties in Kansas, as well as stopping for a bit in surrounding areas like Phelps County, Nebraska, Buchanan County and Andrew County in Missouri, and Oklahoma. States they came from include Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Virginia, Kentucky and Iowa. They’ve ended up all over since then, but they all stopped in Kansas!
